Checkmate XY- Wireless Access Control System
- Checkmate XY is a next generation Access Control
Solution leveraging the advantage of Wireless Technology.
- This solution works in a close environment using RF
Frequency 433 MHz.
- This is a free band and does not require licensing for
short range use.
- FSK mode, over the air working at 1200 bits per second.
- The signal can travel upto 100 mtrs. in free space (without
wall structure etc.)
- Ideal for installation in a ready office which does
not have option of cable laying.
Topology
- There is a central Access Control Panel which is connected to a wireless
modem (Y-Micro)
- Y-Micro has a unique address (user configurable) and
this acts as Master in the Wireless network and is controlled by Checkmate_XL.
- Checkmate_XL bundled with Y-Micro is
called CheckmateXY.
- CheckmateXY is coupled to wireless node (using RF) at
door end and is called X-Micro.
- The Wireless node, X-Micro, is locally powered at door
end using a 230V AC adapter.
- X-Micro can be connected to 2 nos. of conventional
MicroPROX or HID Reader using standard Weigand connection, at the door
end (for IN & OUT).
- X-Micro can be interfaced to a Lock for Access Control
out put and can also be interfaced to a Request-to-Exit (ReX)
switch.
- There could be upto 4 Nos. of X-Micro in the wireless
network connected to CheckmateXY (Controlling upto 4 doors).
- Each CheckmateXY will be connected on Ethernet
LAN.
Operation
- CheckmateXY is required to be configured. The
Unique Hex Address of Y-Micro is to be set once. The Time-out setting
is also being configured.
- The X-Micro is also required to be configured for its own
address Setting & address of the Y-Micro to
which this is coupled.
- CheckmateXY, once configured & put in online mode,
starts scanning the coupled X-Micro’s on the RF
network.
- X-Micro, when receives data from MicroPROX, transmits
the card no. and node details to CheckmateXY (of course Wirelessly)
- CheckmateXY, checks the Access Rights and transmits
the “Allowed” or “Denied” information to
the corresponding X-Micro.
- X- Micro operates the relay for door operation.
- The Transaction Data is stored in CheckmateXY for
data upload.
- Compro_XP Software is suitably used for this panel for
configuring the same.
Installation
- Identify the doors, which are supposed to be Access Controlled or in
other words where X-Micro need to be installed.
- Fix the place of installation of CheckmateXY in a
centralized place based on the position of Doors it is supposed toconnected.
- H-Micro is a Battery operated Hand held
device, which is to be taken physically to the door and is
being used to check the RF signal strength at the door.
- If the Signal strength is found OK for a fixed position of CheckmateXY w.r.t.
all the doors(X-Micro), the setup can be frozen.
- In case of weak communication RF link, of any X-Micro,
change suitably the position of CheckmateXY.
- For number of doors more then 4, install suitable no Checkmate_XY.
- Multiple CheckmateXY will not disturb the communication
or will have cross talk within the network.
- Each X-Micro & Y-Micro address
is required to be unique.
- Each X-Micro is coupled to multiple Y-Micro for
traffic routing.
