HID VertX V200 Input Monitor Interface

HID VertX V200 Input Monitor Interface - Alarm Input Processing for up to 16 Zones

HID

The HID VertX Products provide a complete and fully featured hardware/firmware infrastructure for biometric access control software host systems.

The HID VertX V200 Input Monitor Interface connects up to 16 supervised input circuits. Each input point monitors and reports normal, off-normal, and alarm states. The HID VertX V200 features on-board flash memory, allowing program updates to be downloaded through the network. The HID VertX V200 connects to the v1000 via a high speed RS-485 network. The V1000, in turn. communicates with the system host via industry standard TCP/IP protocol, over 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, or the Internet. This architecture minimizes the impact on corporate LANs, by using only one TCP/IP address for every 32 interfaces, and by handling low-level transactions on the RS-485 network.

Key Benefits :
  • Reports supervised or un-supervised alarm circuits.
  • Off-normal condition programmable for each input point (NO or NC alarm devies may be used).
  • Connects to the V1000 via RS-485.
  • Receives and processes real time commands from the HID VertX V1000.
  • Reports all activity to the V1000.
  • Allows complex input/output linking when used with the HID VertX V1000 and V300 Output Control Interface.
  • Attractive polycarbonate enclosure protects components from damage.
  • All connections and indicators are fully identified by silk-screened nomenclature on the cover.
  • UL 294 and UL 1076 recognized components.

Frequently Asked Questions – HID VertX V200

What is the HID VertX V200?

The HID VertX V200 is an input monitor interface module that connects up to 16 supervised alarm input circuits to a VertX V1000 controller. It features on-board flash memory for field updates and reports normal, off-normal, and alarm states for each input point.

How does VertX V200 connect to the access control system?

VertX V200 connects to the V1000 controller via a high-speed RS-485 network up to 4,000 feet (1,220 m). The V1000 then communicates with the host system over TCP/IP via 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, using only one IP address per 32 interfaces.

How many alarm inputs does the HID VertX V200 support?

HID VertX V200 supports up to 16 supervised input circuits, each capable of monitoring and reporting normal, off-normal, and alarm states.

What power supply does VertX V200 require?

VertX V200 requires 50mA at 9-18V DC. A supervised linear power supply with battery backup and AC fail contact output is recommended.
